This was a typical releading job. Lead has a life of about 70-80 years. With direct sunlight and heavy weather this may be shortened. We removed this panel and replaced it with a temporally with plywood.

All the lead was stripped out and the glass was cleaned.

Notice the small repair in the upper corner. Because the border was a color we couldn't find, we repaired the cracked piece. It is my feeling that a blue of another color or texture would be more distracting then the repaired piece.

We replaced the lead and steel braces. The window was grouted with water proofing putty. All parts are thoroughly cleaned and this panel should be good for another 80-100 years.

Over the years we have done hundreds of repairs. From a simple soldering of a loop back on a Suncatchers to large restoration projects.
